I wanted to share my newest single with you, Blue Lament, a ballad, which I recorded a while back at AudioHaus Recording Studios in Wembley, North London, with Angela Turner, our sound engineer, and my band mates, Maddy Hamilton and Adam Green as an audience, in our pre-covid world.
We recorded three additional songs together, which will hopefully be released later on this year.
The fourth and final track, Blue Lament, was recorded last, and it’s the song I hope to start my next live show with, soon.
I wrote it in my favourite little blues bar in Soho, one night, typing away on my phone, singing the bluesy sorrow to the live music pulsating hope right back into me.
Blue Lament will be released this coming Friday the 12th of February, and you can now pre-save the song here:
The official music video, directed by long time friend and collaborator, filmmaker Emilios Avraam, shot in the snowy Troodos Mountains of Cyprus, premieres on the same day at 8pm GMT.
You can subscribe to my YouTube channel and wait for the Premiere here:
A special thank you to Adam Green, Maddy Hamilton for recording with me on the day, and Angela Turner, AudioHaus for the recording; to Mike Connaris, Mcasso Music, for mastering the track and for your continuous love and support; to Emilios Avraam for your wonderful work in filming/directing the music video; and to Malin Hirschegger and Megan Driscoll from Leeds Conservatoire, for your invaluable support and preparation for the release of this song.
Wherever you are, I hope you’re keeping safe and holding out for better days to come.
I know I am.
